How it came to be...

Hi there, and thank you for visiting my blog. This is my first blog ever but we will learn together.
First off a little about me, I have 4 beautiful children, and a supporting husband who I really owe a lot of my success to. I love to travel and when it comes down to it I am a big foodie. With each experience I have comes to realization where I have come from to where I am today creating a life that only one would ever dream up. I am so appreciative of all things in my life, good, bad and indifferent. Nonetheless all apart of the journey. Things that seem impossible are not too far out of reach. As a previous single mom for many years living paycheck to paycheck, and even in the negative the life I have today seemed unattainable.
Without straying too far away from the reason of my blog, I followed my passion and was able to create this journey. Over the next segments and future segments I will be providing my readers with the unbiased reviews of my experiences. Some good, Some bad but hopefully something you can connect with and use towards in your daily mantra. To be clear honestly not everyone will have the same reaction or experience the same as I have.
I live on the North east coast of America, roughly a 20 min drive to our local beaches, assuming the roadways are not packed with out of staters trying to get a glimpse of the murky waters of the Atlantic ocean. Do not get me wrong, a day at the beach with murky waters is 100 times better than being cooped up in 4 walls closing in and yearning for sunlight. There is just something about the salty ocean air and sounds of crashing waves that brings me to pure elation. As I travel more, an annual trip to blue seas, that is truly what I crave.
We have 4 seasons here Winter, Spring, Summer and Fall. Do not let that fool you though, regardless of when the official season starts at given times that you are here the Octobers can bring blistery cold one week to "just kidding we are going to keep it hot" Fall. Our Springs are not predictable either. In March we can still have our snowstorms and given by that time we are aching for warmer weather from being indoors for the past 4-5 months.
I digress, you want to hear about the journey. In 2016 I had to attend a wedding where I first witnessed the west coast of Florida, Clearwater beach. Exactly as it sounds that’s what it was Clearwater! It was a 16-18 hour drive and oh so painful but by the time I arrived the sunrise was upon us. I stopped at the first beach on the side of the road where my toes met the white sand and clear water. I was only in Florida for a day before I had to head back home. So the experience nonetheless became a craving for more. From then on traveling at least once a year was really something I started to set aside and actually plan for.
Aside from the pain of the drive, I definitely want to elude that I had a fantastic meal in Florence South Carolina at a little joint called “FATZ”. Although I haven’t been back since its definitely a place I would recommend for good burger and fries. Maybe one day I will make my way back there again.
In my upcoming segments I will provide more details as my traveling becomes more frequent and longer, with the exception of 2019-2021 when COVID was upon us. During that time I really started to get my life in gear. If you’re a travel lover I am sure you were part of the mix where travel cancellations and disappointments progressed with the uncertainly of when we would ever get the opportunity to travel again.
Stay tuned, because finally when the time came for traveling I was on the first ticket to exploring the world!
